I have Comcast cable internet service at home. I do not own a TV and probably never will unless I use it as a big monitor to play movies from my laptop. I pay $57.95 per month for high speed cable internet only service. My bill never changes from month to month.
For those of you who do watch TV here is one of the best kept secrets in the biz: They cannot give you cable internet access and block basic cable. It is different these days with the digital changeover and the need for set top boxes.
The bottom line is that if you have and pay for cable internet only service you will have some channels coming through. Any station that still broadcasts in analog will come over the lines to your home. Granted it is not as many as it used to be. You cannot complain for free!
Cable TV/Internet hint: Don't pay for basic cable!
