InboxDollars.com: Money for looking at ads

InboxDollars.com is a new site that I am trying out. You earn money for signing up for offers on their site, playing games, reading emails, and other activities. Once you reach $30 you can request a payment via check. I am giving it a shot to see if they are "real" or not.

I have read good things on other blogs about this site and I will take every extra dollar I can get! I have $6.12 in earnings so far and their paid emails give you $0.02 each and take literally 1 second to do. That works out to $72.00 per hour if you had enough paid emails to fill it. It costs me nothing to click a link to get paid.

I have made actual money from other sites such as youdata.com and ebates and upromise. I am hoping that InboxDollars will be another supplement that I can get every once in a while! I will report if/when I get real money from it.

You won't get rich off of one or even multiple of these types of sites but it is a good way to pick up a few extra dollars here and there that you otherwise wouldn't have. I usually take my earnings from these sites and add to my emergency fund. Every penny counts when an emergency comes up!

ebates.com: Earn money for purchases you already make!

I am always looking for a way to make an extra buck. ebates.com allows me to make online purchases and get rebates for shopping at their 1,100+ affiliates. You accumulate money as you shop (using links from their site) and they will send you a check or pay by paypal if you prefer. Payments are made quarterly on set dates. I prefer check so I don't have to eat a paypal fee (upwards of 3%!).

They have lots of big names such as Kohls, Sears, eBay, Orbitz, Old Navy, and the list goes on and on. It is free to join and you get paid to buy things you would buy anyway! This goes great with a rewards points or cash credit card (assuming you pay your balance each month). This is a great way to pad your savings a bit by shopping normally.

I am kind of upset that I did not know about this sooner. I could have saved hundreds over the years! I am just happy that I am signed up now and can start using this money to help reduce my debt. They give you a sign up bonus of $5 cash. Click here to join and get your $5 today and begin saving!

I have signed up for YouData.com which is a website where you literally get paid to click links (ads). You have to fill in profiles and they give you links to click that are targeted to you. They pay weekly every Friday by paypal.com.

So far I have earned about $2 from them in a month. It may not sound like much but it only took a few seconds to do. You simply log in and see if you have any ads available. If you do then you can click them and get paid. It is that easy!

I check it once a week to see if I have any waiting and do them. It takes me less than two minutes to complete.

Affiliate Program: uPromise.com

I have been a member of uPromise.com for a number of years. The idea of the site is to reward your spending on certain products and services in the form of rebates to your uPromise account. You can then use it to fund your or someone else's college (either check or a 529 plan), pay your student loans (Sallie Mae only), or you can take cash (by way of mailed check).

You can do this for 1 or more people and decide what % of the funds go to each. You can register your grocery and drug store cards to track spending and earn there. You can also register your credit and debit cards for their dining program (similar to Skymiles Dining). They also have an online shopping section where you can earn money by using links form their website and also a self-branded mastercard from Citibank.

My personal experience from this program has been good. I have not gone out of my way to be sure I use their specific products or services to get the rebates. So far I have taken out $41.00 by check a couple years ago and now have about $12.69 in the account. Most of my money has come from their grocery program by registering my and my relatives shoppers cards.

One thing to note is that it is not immediately obvious that you can request a check for the money in your account. To do so you have to write them a letter and checks are issue quarterly. If you want more than $200 it will require the letter to be notorized. They offer a form letter in their help section to get this going. I have done this before and it works great!
