I have decided to stop posting my net worth publicly. I will still track it of course but not make it public. It can bring unwanted attention from people as it continues to grow. Privacy is a must these days!

January 2012 Net Worth Update

It is the 1st of the month again and it is time for my net worth report card. I had a good month due to investment values increasing. December is always an expensive month with the holidays but I did better this year than most on controlling my spending well.

As of today my current net worth is $22,701.65. That is an increase of $1,712.09 over last month. The major contributing factors: big stock market gains, a frugal Christmas holiday, and cut spending.

I expect next month to mediocre. I am focusing on sticking to my budget, prioritizing savings, and getting caught up from the holiday season..

October 2011 Net Worth Update

It is the 1st of the month again and it is time for my net worth report card. I had a down month do to investment values decreasing. Otherwise I was mostly on track and got a little ahead on other goals!

As of today my current net worth is $16,936.89. That is an decrease of $784.11 over last month. The major contributing factors: large decline in the stock markets, less work travel, and more money put towards vacations.

I expect next month to good. I am focusing on sticking to my budget, exploring more ways to be frugal with food expenditures, and reducing car expenses by further combining trips and saving fuel costs.

September 2011 Net Worth Update

It is the 1st of the month again and it is time for my net worth report card. I had a good month due to reduced spending, increased savings, and more work travel. I also received some cash birthday gifts and a few rebates in the mail.

As of today my current net worth is $17,721.00. That is an increase of $1,661.82 over last month. The major contributing factors: saved some per diems, increased work travel, and slightly increased investment values.

I expect next month to good. I am focusing on sticking to my budget, exploring more ways to be frugal with food expenditures, and reducing car expenses by further combining trips and saving fuel costs. With loss of rental income I am more focused on the spending aspect of my budget.

August 2011 Net Worth Update

It is the 1st of the month again and it is time for my net worth report card. I had a slow month due to a fall in the stock market and increased spending.

As of today my current net worth is $16,059.18. That is an decrease of $(566.36) over last month. The major contributing factors: a small work bonus, increased work travel, and decreased investment values.

I expect next month to better. I will receive some cash birthday gifts and am tightening up on my spending too. I am also traveling a lot this month for work (more per diem, less expenses!). I will soon lose a roommate which will lower my monthly income unless I replace them. I have not decided if I will do this or not yet.

July 2011 Net Worth Update

It is the 1st of the month again and it is time for my net worth report card. I had a good month due to a rise in the stock market and lowered spending.

As of today my current net worth is $16,625.54. That is an increase of $2,145.43 over last month. The major contributing factors: a large work reimbursement and increased investment values.

I expect next month to slower. I have changed my auto insurance which will net me large savings over time. I am also traveling a lot this month for work (more per diem, less expenses!). My property taxes have also fallen!

It is the 1st of the month again and it is time for my net worth report card. I had a not-so-great month due to a a major car expense.

As of today my current net worth is $14,480.11. That is an decrease of $(420.95) over last month. The major contributing factors: a large car repair expense and a decrease in investment values.

I expect next month to be better! My office has moved to a transit friendly place which will save on commuting costs. I am also traveling a lot this month for work (more per diem, less expenses!). I also have some IT Consulting that should help too!

May 2011 Net Worth Update

It is the 1st of the month again and it is time for my net worth report card. I had a great month due to a large bonus and lower expenses overall.

As of today my current net worth is $14,901.06. That is an increase of $2,362.49 over last month. The major contributing factors: a large bonus and increase in investment values.

I expect next month to be good also! My office is moving to where my train commute will be reimbursed, I have more rental income, and I will spend a lot less on gas and car expenses.

It is the 1st of the month again and it is time for my net worth report card. I had a great month due to a tax refund and extra side work this month. I am also waiting on a few rebates that will boost later numbers.

As of today my current net worth is $11,909.00. That is an increase of $1,547.95 over last month. The major contributing factors: side income, a large tax refund, increase in investment values, and selling some stuff on ebay!

I expect next month to be good a little slower. I have a vacation to New York and less pending income but am expecting a work bonus!

As of today my current net worth is $5,111.67. That is an increase of $174.98 over last month. The major contributing factors extra planned spending, holiday expenses, and remaining focused on my big picture goals!

I expect next month to be a bit better. I have tax refunds on the horizon and I am working on increasing my income on a special project. It is the shortest month of the year!

It is the 1st of the month again and it is time for my net worth report card. I had another good month this month! I made it through the holiday season without busting my budget too badly and got a very nice bonus from work. It is a nice start to the new year!

As of today my current net worth is $4,936.69. That is an increase of $2,010.55 over last month. The major contributing factors were a nice bonus from work, a frugal holiday season, and remaining focused on my big picture goals!

December 2010 Net Worth Update

It is the 1st of the month again and it is time for my net worth report card. I had a great month this month! I am officially credit card debt free and pay my balances in full every month. I spent the past month in Cambodia on vacation and my reduced costs at home gave me a boost as a result!

As of today my current net worth is $2,926.14. That is an increase of $2,022.53 over last month. The major contributing factors were a long vacation in an inexpesnive, side income from a client, increased savings amounts across the board!

I expect next month to be a slower month. The holidays always slow me down financially with travel and gifts to buy. I am hoping for a nice work bonus to offset it.  I will remain focused on debt elimination and increasing my income in any way I can!

November 2010 Net Worth Update

It is the 1st of the month again and it is time for my net worth report card. I had a great month this month! I am officially credit card debt free and pay my balances in full every month. I also got a nice bonus from work as well as getting my old pay reinstated. Things are looking great!


As of today my current net worth is $903.61. That is an increase of $3,291.21 over last month. THIS IS MY FIRST MONTH IN THE BLACK!!! The major contributing factors were a work bonus, side income from a client, pay reinstatement, and paying off of all of my credit card debts!

I expect next month to be a good month. I will spend November in Cambodia which is a very inexpensive place.  I will remain focused on debt elimination and increasing my income in any way I can!

It is the 1st of the month again and it is time for my net worth report card. I had a negative month this month but I am OK with that since I had an astounding month in August.

As of today my current net worth is ($2,387.60). That is an decrease of ($1,312.67) over last month. The major contributing factors were expenses due to closing costs, a few planned purchases, and slightly increased spending in entertainment.

I expect next month to be a better month. I have more work travel plans and no more big financial changes on the horizon. I will remain focused on debt elimination and increasing my income in any way I can!

As of today my current net worth is ($1,074.93). That is an increase of $8,368.73 over last month. The major contributing factors were an increased house appraisal (ghost money) and increased income!

I expect next month to be a slower month. I have more work travel plans and no more big financial changes on the horizon. I am restarting the contributions to my emergency fund! I will remain focused on debt elimination and increasing my income in any way I can!

I expect next month to be about the same as this month. I am starting to get more side work and have my spare bedroom rented out for the next few months. I will remain focused on debt elimination and increasing my income in any way I can!

It is the 1st of the month again and it is time for my net worth report card. I had a much better month than I expected and am happy with my results!

As of today my current net worth is ($12,164.78). That is an increase of $641.11 over last month. The major contributing factors were a down stock market, paying off one credit card with savings, increased side income, and stringent frugality!

I expect next month to be about the same as this month. I am starting to get more side work and have my spare bedroom rented out for the next few months. I will remain focused on debt elimination and increasing my income in any way I can!

It is the 1st of the month again and it is time for my net worth report card. I had a slow month due to some extra expenses and lower income. I hope to do much better next month!

As of today my current net worth is ($12,805.89). That is an increase of $193.83 over last month. The major contributing factor was paying off one of my credit cards!

I expect next month to be a slow month since I have no more major changes coming my way and a tighter budget after my recent paycut. I am hoping things will improve at work so I can get back in the positive.

It is the 1st of the month again and it is time for my net worth report card. I had a good month yet again. My house is now done and appraised higher after my remodel. The stock market had a good month too.

As of today my current net worth is ($12,999.72). That is an increase of $2,135.68 over last month. The major contributing factors were a higher home appraisal, good month in the stock market, and more debt repayment.

I expect next month to be a slower month since I have no more major changes coming my way and a tighter budget after refinancing my remodel costs. Things are looking up at works a little bit so I can get my old pay reinstated hopefully sooner than later!
